Form N1: Claim form (CPR Part 7)
The form that starts a County Court money claim on paper: who is claiming, against whom, for how much and why.
When to use it, deadline and fee - No court fee
Form N9A: Admission (specified amount)
The form a defendant uses to admit owing all or part of a money claim and to offer payment terms.
When to use it, deadline and fee - No fee for the defence
Form N9B: Defence and counterclaim (specified amount)
The form a defendant uses to dispute a money claim, set out their side, and bring any counterclaim.
When to use it, deadline and fee - No court fee
Form N215: Certificate of service
The form that proves to the court when and how you served a claim form or other document yourself.
When to use it, deadline and fee
When the defendant does not respond, or admits the debt.

Form N225: Request for judgment and reply to admission (specified amount)
The claimant's form to ask for judgment when the defendant has not responded, or has admitted the debt and offered terms.

Form N227: Request for judgment by default (amount to be decided by the court)
The claimant's form to ask for default judgment where the claim was for an unspecified sum, such as damages.
When to use it, deadline and fee - No fee for the questionnaire
Form N180: Directions questionnaire (small claims track)
The questionnaire both parties complete after a defence is filed, telling the court about mediation, witnesses, experts and hearing dates.
When to use it, deadline and fee - A fee is payable under EX50
Form N244: Application notice
The general form for asking the court to make an order during a case: more time, setting aside a judgment, striking out, or almost anything else.

Form N316: Order to attend court for questioning
The form to make a judgment debtor come to court and answer questions about their income, assets and debts before you choose an enforcement method.

Form N323: Request for warrant of control
The form to send County Court bailiffs to take control of the debtor's goods to satisfy a judgment.

Form N337: Request for attachment of earnings order
The form to have a judgment debt deducted from the debtor's wages by their employer.

Form N349: Application for third party debt order
The form to freeze and take money owed to the debtor by someone else, most often the balance in their bank account.
When to use it, deadline and fee - £139 (EX50, 13 July 2026) plus a Land Registry fee to register the restriction
Form N379: Application for charging order on land
The form to secure a judgment debt against property the debtor owns, so it is paid when the property is sold or remortgaged.
